And just like that it's 2023, it seems about 5 minutes ago that we were having one of the hottest summers on record, and only 10 minutes ago since we were sorting the 2022 new year sale.
2022 was a year of ups and downs for us Browns. We had some very good moments but we also dealt with a lot of crap, with Seonee's mum's fall and subsequent care needs, family illness and some utility company issues. Because of this it's fair to say our head wasn't always fully on the shop game last year, but we battled through and for the most part we are pleased to say goodbye to 2022.
The upheaval in our personal lives was made much more manageable by our lovely customers and friends who shared many a kind word and best wish and, who continued to support us. Shop wise we actually has a very good 2022 and for that we are so grateful to everyone who supported us, with a sale, a like on social media, telling a friend about us or anything else.
Now looking into 2023 we are hoping for a bit more of a 'normal' year, although looking at what's going on in Government and in the world at the moment who knows what we can expect! As I write this top on my to do list is to sort the January sale, all of the Christmas items have already been reduced but now we have a lot more stock we want to reduce to make way for summer stock and new items.
Talking of new items, as always we kick the year off with trade shows, with Giving and Living in Exeter in January and the big event, the Spring Fair at the NEC in Feb (hopefully this will go a bit better than last year!).
And by the time we have done that it'll be Spring before we know it!
From us all at Browns we wish you the very best for 2023.
